did we ever get the names and numbers of the politicians that got all this money? its funny that the business is bankrupt and the members are going to jail, but the politicians get away with it. that is the reason the country is going down the tubes. why not check marlboro, im sure that johnny got a pocket full of money. i remember a little story about how the marlboro gop met with birdsall, and asked for their support, never got a call back, from tom, but it was funny that 2 weeks later birdsall got a 80,0o0 dollar contract with the town of marlboro. johnny and the gang get hundreds of thousands of dollars wheeled in from middlesex, bergen, etc. and have bought off all the gop lawyers in town, so i would think that giving birdsall a little extra cash was no problem for hornick. when i say giving cash i mean the taxpayers cash.

Please, tell me which part of the election finance laws the politicians and candidates broke with regards to Birdsall donations?

    That would be NONE.

It is not incumbent up the recipient of a particular campaign donation to investigate whether a particular company broke the law. I don’t care if it was a Democrat candidate or a Republican candidate. You are trying to “make new law” where no requirement exists.

It you want to claim conspiracy, fine; then take it to the prosecutors office rather than accusing people on a blog. However, you better have proof that a particular candidate or group of candidates conspired with the people at Birdsall to create this donation scheme. And it seems to me that your desire to attack your own Marlboro officials reeks of “self need” rather than a global issue.

While I may agree that it may look like a duck, absent that proof, please take off the tin foil hat.

And, if you wish to make new law; fine. But do it in the proper manner by speaking with our legislators instead of pulling it out of thin air.

@trouble …the NSL has a link online to a list at NJ.com. In all fairness though, just because someone/some people received $$$ from Birdsall and are on the list, does not automatically mean they are guilty of wrongdoing.
