Chris Smith (R-NJ) as the most effective Republican lawmaker on healthcare issues in the House of Representatives. The study also shows that Rep. Smith is the second most effective House Republican lawmaker overall.

Brookdale ranked in top 25 of all community colleges in USA

Brookdale Community College has been ranked one of the best in the nation by AcademicInfluence.com

The public community college with a main campus in Lincroft and five other locations throughout Monmouth County was ranked number 24 of the top 50 Community Colleges in the United States, which puts it in the top 3% nationally.

Monmouth GOP to run 3 women against Gopal, Downey and Houghtaling

The Monmouth County Republican Committee will run a slate of three women against Senator Vin Gopal and Assembly members Joann Downey and Eric Houghtaling in the 11th Legislative District, Chairman Shaun Golden announced this morning.

Lisa Annetta of Freehold Borough will seek to unseat freshman Senator Vin Gopal. Marilyn Piperno of Colts Neck and Kim Eulner of Shrewsbury will seek to deny Downey and Houghtaling fourth terms in the Assembly.

The 11th is the only district in Monmouth County with more registered Democrats than Republicans.

N.J.’s COVID vaccine eligibility expands today. Here’s everyone who can now schedule a shot.

The first of two big expansions this month of COVID-19 vaccine eligibility in New Jersey begins Monday with transportation workers and several other groups who can now schedule shots, though appointments remain hard to get.
