Charles J. Traina, 20, of Middletown, was arrested today by Township Officers after a months long investigation into ant-police, anti-government, and anti-Middletown Township acts of vandalism in the Oak Hill section, Chief Craig Webber announced.

Middletown Police Officer Thomas E. Foster, 33, was charged with fourth degree falsifying records, according to an announcement this morning by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Foster, who has been on the Middletown Police force since August 18, 2014, has been suspended without pay, according to an announcement by the Middletown Police Department.
Jacob Gerges, 35, of the Leonardo section of Middletown, was arrested by Township’s Police Department this morning, according to an announcement by Det. Lt. Paul Bailey , the department’s public information officer.
Gerges was naked when he was found hiding under a deck of a Hunters Pointe home by K9s Jax and Koda, as well as Sgt Brian McGrogan and Ptl. Stephen Greenwood. The officers had initiated a search after responding to a to a residence on Phillips Mills Drive for a report of a burglary at 5:45 a.m. Gerges was only naked from the waist down..he was wearing a sweater…when he fled the Phillips Mills Drive home on foot.
Det. Lt. Paul Bailey, the public information officer for the Middletown PD, told MMM that Bland did not stab two people as we previously reported. One person was stabbed and the other was the victim of a simple assault, Bailey said.

Brennan C. Bland, 27, has been arrest by Middletown Police and charged with stabbing two people in McMahon Park on Friday afternoon, according to an announcement from the Middletown PD.
Bland is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and terroristic threats. He is in the custody of the Monmouth County Correctional Institute in Freehold.
A Friday, February 15 at about 4:28 p.m. County dispatch received at least three calls reporting an altercation in McMahon Park in North Middletown. The first call indicated that two adult males were involved in fight. A second call reported juveniles fighting and a third caller stated the incident involved a stabbing and all parties had left the scene.
Middletown Patrolman Nicholas Manochio was first on the scene at a fire at 54 Friendship Court in Shadow Lake Village on Saturday evening. Upon arriving at the fire which was reported at 7:20 p.m., Ptl. Manchio learned that there was an 87 year old woman in the burning home, according to Detective Lt. Paul Bailey, Public Information Officer of the Middletown Township Police Department.
Manchio entered the home and successfully rescued the woman who was then transported to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, along with a 91 year old male resident of the home. Both residents were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Allison Mack of the TV series “Smallville,” and former Middletown Police Officer James Keenan are facing justice for their alleged human trafficking crimes thanks to a law conceived, championed and passed into law through the leadership and tenacity of Congressman Chris Smith.
Smith’s landmark Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (PL 106-386) is the law being enforced in the recent high-profile indictment of a trafficking ring in New York that involved Mack and the indictment of Keenan on child sex trafficking charges.
“This law, the TVPA, sends a message to traffickers of the gravity of their offense,” Rep. Smith, co-chair of the Congressional Human Trafficking Caucus, stated.

James J. Keenan, 47, the retired Middletown Police Officer arrested on federal child sex trafficking charges last week, was released to the custody of his mother, Katherine Fowlie, by U.S. Magistrate Judge Tonianne J. Bongiovani on Monday afternoon during a bond hearing in Trenton Federal Court.
Fowlie is the widow of former Middletown Police Chief William Fowlie, Keenan’s step-father.
Keenan and Fowlie co-signed a $50,000 unsecured bond as a condition of the release. Additionally, Keenan is subject to 24 hour per day home confinement with electronic monitoring, is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with minor children, must refrain from using alcohol or drugs, be tested for substance abuse, and must restrict his travel–as approved by pre-trail services– to the State of New Jersey and the District of Oregon for Court Purposes. In a motion to unseal Keenan’s indictment, Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott M. Kerin told the Court that the defendant was interviewed about the allegations against him approximately two weeks prior to his April 5, 2018 indictment. When attempting to serve an arrest warrant, the case agent found that Keenan showed up at his place of employment on March 30 and announced, without notice, that he was leaving and returning to New York. A retired Middletown Police Officer was arrested in Hazlet on Wednesday, April 11, following an April 5 federal indictment for Sex Trafficking of a Child, Attempted Sex Trafficking of a Child and Attempted Enticement.
James J. Keenan, 47, formerly of Hazlet and currently a resident of Vancouver, WA, was indicted by a Portland, Oregon federal grand jury following a month long investigation by detectives of Beaverton, Oregon Police Department and the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force.
His alleged victim is a Beaverton female child, according to Officer Jeremy Shaw, spokesman for the Beaverton PD. Officer Shaw confirmed that Keenan is a former Middletown Police Officer. Read the rest of this entry »
The Middletown Police Department and the Middletown School District issued a statement on Wednesday night informing parents, faculty and students at High School North that a video was posted on Snapchat Tuesday night has been investigated and deemed to be “non-credible.”
