Arnone Report: Extending summer into September and other good stuff

Monmouth Freeholders Launch Small Business Grant Program

Small businesses located in Monmouth County can apply for grants of up to $10,000 starting on Monday, August 3, 8:00 a.m. at monmouthcountycares.com, Freeholder Director Tom Arnone and Deputy Director Sue Kiley announced during a press conference in Freehold this morning.

Arnone to Murphy: Let Restaurants Reopen For Indoor Dining

“We are now halfway through the summer and restaurants’ doors remain closed for indoor dining. Restaurants had been prepared to welcome back customers inside on July 2, but then that was postponed indefinitely.

I hope everyone took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend and visited our beaches and restaurants in Monmouth County!

With the holiday weekend approaching, I would like to remind everyone to remain diligent in adhering to the social distancing and safety guidelines implemented by the State.

Our restaurants and retailers – especially seasonal – depend on strong summer weekends to keep their staff employed and businesses open. It’s more important now than ever to support them while remaining safe.

Scharfenberger and Arnone call for real guidance from Trenton to reopen NJ small businesses

Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger and Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone issued the following statement:

When the State of New Jersey ordered our business community to shut down for a two-week quarantine period, we agreed that it was in the best interest to do so for the safety and well being of our residents, business owners and their employees. Now, ten weeks later, our small businesses remain shut down without any guidance from Trenton as to when they can reopen their doors, bring back employees and attempt to move forward in the wake of a significant loss of revenue.
