    Spring Lake has a long history of taking beach funds and buying all sorts of things like police cars, cranes, other town equipment and paying salaries in an inappropriate manner

    most entities when gifted with pots of money: sky’s the limit, especially in this state.. in the case of Sandy funds: those entities that thought and bothered to document, document, document, got their reimbursements faster, and had less/no audit problems afterwards, like the county.. When it comes to governmental transparency,one can’t be too much so. A little extra work goes a long way.
