Road Work Continues on Hubbard Ave, Middletown

Utility work on Hubbard Ave between West Front Street and Navesink River Road in the River Plaza section of Middletown will continue through August as New Jersey Natural Gas replaces a six-inch steel gas distribution main with a new eight-inch plastic gas main.  This work comes on the heels of the recently completed work on the road by the American Water Company.

Monmouth County motorists are urged to plan alternate routes between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“Motorists in the area have experienced an increase in congestion and traffic delays due to the ongoing utility company work and should plan alternate routes whenever possible,” said Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the County’s Department of Public Works and Engineering. “The patience of the public is appreciated as the project continues for the next few weeks.”
