Pomanowski Endorses Golden For Chairman

By Wayne Pomanowski

While there is no shortage of charges rumbling through Monmouth County political circles one can easily get bogged down in what the issue of this chairman’s election is all about. While I was President of The Affiliated Republican Club, I learned many things about heading up a political organization. There are four questions any county committee person is faced with.

Who has the talent to raise money?
Who has peacemaking ability to unify the party?
Who has the enthusiasm to grow the grassroots in each and every town in Monmouth County?
Who has the tactical skill to out think our Democratic counterparts?

If we look at the number of county committee seats – 204 are now empty.  The Affiliated Club is down in membership from close to 600 to over 200. The County Republican treasury alleged to having raised $700,000, ended the year with just over $4,000 on hand. And, here are the sad statistics – Registered Republicans in Monmouth County 96,820; Registered Democrats 99,820.

John Bennett is a fine man who has served his party; he is part of our rich past. As many of you know I have always poured my heart and soul into this party to keep this county Republican. I take nothing from John Bennett.
I am supporting Shaun Golden. Shaun will make a fine chairman and is part of our bright future.

With a guy like this running the Affiliated, it’s no wonder membership is down. “Alleged” to have raised that money, Wayne? More like, DID raise that money. Search the ELEC website, it’s public record. Also, want to know why there was only $4,000 cash on hand at the end of last year? Because the Chairman spent it all on getting Shaun re-elected. That’s what Chairmen do-first they raise the money, then they spend it on the candidates. Very simple, no?

Wayne P. Should go back to the tax board where he screws over everybody who appears there.

  3. WOW! said at 7:18 pm on June 3rd, 2014:

When Golden takes over as Chairman he will have a real mess on his hands to clean-up.
    What horrible stats!
Thanks Wayne, you always worked very hard for the party in Mon. County and hope you continue to do so. WE NEED YOU.

Mr. Pomanowski, a fine man and a die hard worker for the party does not run the Affiliated Club as you charge.

He was the former President of the Affiliated Club when membership thrived.

I believe the current President is John Kane (spelling?) the former Monmouth County Prosecutor. Perhaps you should address your charges to him?

    Again…

Chairman Bennett, do you condone such attacks? If not, please come out and say that you don’t.

If you don’t say something, I am sorry; but you deserve to lose.

As to the person above whose anonymous name is Wayne LOL, do you have actual, verifiable proof that Wayne screws people on tax appeals?

    If not, how dare you?

Now, I for one am getting sick of personal attacks against people who are not running for office, such as Wayne or Ann Marie Howley.

This is nothing more than desperate measures from those that know they are losing.

No wonder people throw up their hands and walk away from helping candidates. They are afraid to put their name on the line and get trashed.

    Disgusted, I remain.

Wayne P is the FORMER President of the Club. Membership went down AFTER he stepped down.

And Bennett spent all $700,000 (minus the $4k) on Golden’s reelection? Wow, that must’ve been the most expensive Sheriff race in the country.

When they start attacking Wayne or Ann Marie, you know Bennett’s minions are getting desperate.

Or maybe a lot more money was spent on primary challenges than expected due to a BTPG putting up candidates. That certainly helped drain the accounts!

Wayne is a nice man byte who cares what he has to say? Shaun is terribly conflicted, has no real political experience and is simply not ready for prime time. Why is it when someone points out his downsides, they are Bennett minions or haters? That’s nonsense. You all sound like the liberals who cry racism anytime someone criticizes the president. Stop crying and man up. Bennett will win. You watch.

This coming from the nobody who calls traitors or backstabbers anyone who dares support another candidate than Bennett.

But actually who cares what TimH has to say? Who is he, that anyone should consider his advice?

  10. @ Middletowner said at 9:16 am on June 4th, 2014:

    Who is Tim H?

He is nothing but a mere child like person who just learned out to copy and paste.

He’s doing it quite successfully I might add as he did it twice above. But like a child, I guess he got frustrated easily when no one was listening to his frequently copied and pasted 10 point bull crap meme.

  11. correction said at 10:51 am on June 4th, 2014:

    @@Middletowner

As a small correction: Tim H has not learned to copy and paste as you claim. If you read carefully you’ll note that the two comments from him above are actually very different as you can see in the first sentence alone.

Based on this sample I hypothesize that Tim H has not learned to copy and paste and that Tim H actually types his 10 point list explaining why Golden should not be Chairman each time you see it.

It is therefore incumbent upon each of you to carefully read the 10 point list explaining why Golden should not be Chairman each time Tim types it to see if he’s changed any words as he retypes the list. The more you study and analyze Tim’s 10 point list that explains why Golden should not be Chairman the better you’ll be at determining if Tim H’s has copy and paste skills or if he really does type the 10 point list explaining why Golden should not be Chairman each time you see it posted.

Learn to copy and paste, “Tim”, or don’t!

Wayne Pomanowski is one of our best and brightest in Monmouth. His opinion matters to me.

God Bless the Republicans for managing the past and having a vision for the future of Monmouth. While Rs have our issues, the problems are nothing compared to the devastation caused by the corrupt democrat machine. Dirty democrat deeds done dirt cheap.

Wayne knows our history and understands the qualities that make Monmouth a great county to live. He is out and about and knows many of us that have been or remain in the Republican trenches.

Mr. Pomanowski would make an excellent Chairman or Freeholder for that matter.

  13. A focus on the Issues and the Facts Would be Nice said at 11:03 am on June 4th, 2014:

I wish everyone would stop attacking each other and return to a positive GOP position.
This may include disagreement on issues but personal attacks must STOP!

Wayne is entitled to his opinion as well as everyone else. However, his criteria seems to actually fit everything John Bennett has done.

Bennett has raised more money in 2 years than the previous 3 years before he took office. He worked at resolving disputes between elected officials as a peacemaker. And certainly no one could question the enthusiasm or the hours he put into this volunteer job. I have been to countless fundraisers where the candidates, including Shaun, have thanked him profusely.

Shaun has not demonstrated in the past five years he has been in politics the ability to run a campaign and beat the democrats better than Bennett. With over 30 years political experience and running victorious campaigns Bennett certainly has shown his ability to outthink the Democrats.

And more facts that people seem to be routinely overlooking. We have less empty county committee seats than at this point 2 years ago. And we actually have half the number of empty seats the Democrats have and they have 4000 more registered voters than we do.

Yes, we ended the year with little money in the bank, but it was all spent on campaigns and the operation of a full-time headquarters. This past year more mail included local candidates with the County candidates than ever before and the help for our local tickets also added to expenses

Again, all supporters on both sides need to stop the negative attacks and focus on the issues and the differences between the records of the two candidates and by all means use the criteria that Wayne spells out.

Thank you ‘A focus on the issues….’ .. Untimely, and unconscionable time to ‘get even’ at the top! NO money exchanged … NO deals and promises … when County Committee Members knock on doors of friends, neighbors, and supporters in their District … ultimately, on Election Day, proudly delivering votes … votes fostered by loyalty, trust, service, and commitment … ! Dedicated Co. Cte. Mbrs., now being asked to ‘settle’ a self-serving, selfish, scurrilous, squabble at the top … ! Don’t be misled, or strong-armed down a path of possible destruction! There are no secrets in this world … vote with your head, your conscience and the facts … think for yourself, … you’ve walked the walk. This is our duty … yours and mine!

  15. At least be accurate. said at 9:58 pm on June 4th, 2014:

Affiliated membership: 500 by end of last year, nearly 350 already this year: not 200!..attendance at events: for past 4 years, runs from somewhere between 120-180: it depends on WHERE it is, WHEN it is, and how many other events it is in competition with, that week: people only have so much money to spend on all the political events.. also, every Board member, officer, and trustee,(of which the former president is one), bears responsibility for encouraging membership and participation- every year: or, did some just really want President JohnKaye and the current Chair to fail, all along? Get real, be honest, that’s only right and fair.

  16. A word to the 'Team Bennett' players who are disparaging Wayne Pomanowski; said at 11:30 pm on June 4th, 2014:

    A word to the ‘Team Bennett’ players who are disparaging Wayne Pomanowski;

Wayne Pomanowski is a very fine man who has worked tirelessly for our party.

Please stop disparaging highly regarded men and women simply because you disagree with who they’ve chosen to support for our party chair. They deserve better and so does Monmouth County. Remind yourself of who these men and women are and what they stand for before typing out a remark, and more importantly remember that nothing said ‘anonymously’ on the Internet is ever truly anonymous.

    Thank you.

  17. Tony Fiore said at 7:12 am on June 5th, 2014:

We all have friends around the county that are supporting both men for Chairman. However, personally attacking Wayne is just wrong. I have been around politics my whole life and finding a man of Wayne Pomanowski’s integrity and passion for electing and re-electing Republicans all over Monmouth County is virtually impossible.

I’m proud to call Wayne a friend no matter who he endorses for Chairman.

  18. Jim Granelli said at 9:48 am on June 5th, 2014:

    I second “A Word” & Tony Fiore.

As well, the attacks on Ann Marie Howley were uncalled for. Since when is a differing opinion to be attacked in America. I thought that is what we were founded on, things like the right to free speech.

As I said before, I have friends in both camps and will not comment on the race itself.

But this has gone beyond silly with the personal attacks on two fine people.
