Monmouth Prosecutor refers corruption allegations against John Curley to NJ Attorney General

Disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has referred the corruption allegations against Freeholder John P. Curley made by former Assemblyman Michael Panter, in his capacity as in house counsel for Realty Data Systems, LLC, to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, according to Charles Webster, spokesman for the Prosecutor’s Office.

Due to the allegations against a sitting Freeholder, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office forwarded Mr. Panter’s letter of March 27 to the Attorney General’s Office for review and to take whatever actions they deem appropriate, Webster wrote to MMM.

MMM reported this morning that Panter wrote to Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone last week alleging that Curley released an ‘anonymous’ letter during his 2015 reelection campaign which alleged corruption involving the New Jersey Assessment Demonstration Program (ADP) which Curley knew to be false and knew was actually written by Timothy Middleton, Esq., the most prolific tax appeal attorney in Monmouth County.

    Here we go again. John – when is enough enough? For God’s sake won’t you step down and clean up the mess you created? The residents of Monmouth deserve better than scandal after scandal.

    unfortunately, the gift that seems to keep giving, to the Dems. Ironic he once was one..The only light I can see right now, is that maybe he won’t get enough votes as an independent to take too much away from our new Reps that are running. May it also serve as an educational moment for anyone intending to run for public office: acting as the “corruption- fighter,” and headline- grabbing to enrich your resume, sometimes backfires into your own face.
