Jack Ciattarelli’s statement on Doug Steinhardt’s withdrawal from the gubernatorial race

Jack Ciattarelli

Jack Ciattarelli, the front runner for the Republican nomination to take on Governor Phil Murphy in November, issued the following statement to MMM on the news of former NJ GOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt’s withdrawal as a candidate for governor:

“I want to commend Doug for his commitment to the Republican Party and for his efforts to hold Phil Murphy accountable. I look forward to working with him to make sure Phil Murphy is One & Done in “21”

With Steinhardt out of the race, Ciattarelli faces a nuisance challenges from perennial loser Hirsh Singh and a possible challenge from former Somerset County Freeholder Brian Levine.

Levine, who briefly flirted with challenging Chris Christie for the gubernatorial nomination in 2009, told New Jersey Globe that he would talk to himself, and maybe someone smarter, and make a decision this week.
