Fiore Will Remain Mayor

6168_151250960925_704825925_3884408_4699243_nTony Fiore will be elected to serve another year as mayor of Middletown when the township reorganizes on Sunday, January 1.

Committeeman Steve Massell will be Deputy Mayor.

Stephanie Murray will take the oath of office for her first term on the committee.   Murray replaces Deputy Mayor Pam Brightbill who is stepping down after two terms.

Fiore said that his top priority in 2012 is to continue to find cost savings and to keep the township’s property taxes stable.

Additionally, Fiore wants to implement the lessons learned in 2011 to improve real time communications with Middletown’s residents.  “We learned a lot as a result of the December 2010 blizzard and the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.  We will be improving our communications in the coming year.”

Wow…P.R….it was more of an observation and not a defense…but hey, I don’t expect you to know the difference. Hell, you don’t even know your real name. Yeah….facts. I think you mean the way you see them, and not really true facts. Kind of like your commentary about how the dems want Middletown like Asbury. Or how the Dems don’t really care about the quality of life in Middletown…Yeah…facts. Please, stop the BS and use your real name. Oh, that’s right, you can’t…probably because you’re one of the TC members, or you’re really close. But hey, thanks for playing…..

    Rick,
Just don’t bother bitching the next time someone on this blog engages in name calling. You now have no credibility on that issue.

No Rick – real facts. If you disagree, in the spirit of true discourse, go back and refute them. I’ll save you the trouble. You can’t. The Republicans have built Middletown into one of the top places to live in the country. My group, made up of people from both parties, has examined their budget line by line and have concluded that they are the epitome of fiscal conservatism and responsibility. All of the Dem. attacks and false assertions can’t change that. And for you to call the mayor a name based on what an individual who has proven himself to be a liar and partisan hack says shows why you will never win an election in Colts Neck.

And as for your silly obsession with people using their real names – there are a variety of reasons why people don’t – fear of harassment by union thugs, local business owners who want to express their opinions without affecting their livelihoods, etc. Both apply to me and I want you Rick, to patronize my business when you are in Middletown..

How typical of “Proud Republican” and his ilk here. Fear of harassment? I don’t recall Proud Repub, Mayor Fiore or any other others who mouth off here
criticizing Art in his quest to discover and publicize the name of the “granny” in the Ocean Grove auditorium lawsuit. Pathetic.

  6. Proud Republican said at 12:02 pm on January 2nd, 2012:

Kate – you have got to be kidding. A woman tries to destroy a tradition and trample on the rights of thousands of people through an absurd lawsuit and you don’t think the public has the right to know her name? You are comparing that to people voicing an opinion on a blog that affects no one? How absolutely ridiculous.

  7. Kate said at 12:16 pm on January 2nd, 2012:

Typically , PR slices the pie of civil rights and legal protections thick enough to get a big mouthful himself, but won’t offer a crumb to others. Are you deliberately dense and hypocritical? The filer of that lawsuit was within her rights to file as a Jane Doe and certainly harassment and worse could have followed her “outing”. But of course that doesn’t matter. Proud Republican you are indeed a perfect example of your own screen name.

Ya know TR…I really don’t care what you think, or have to say. Fiore “embelished”his resume to start, and then threatenend the library with turning it over to the county. And, sent his henchman to make sure they complied with his “request” for the extra $50oK to balance his budget. What would you call that? ( I bet you just don’t care what its called since they are part of your brotherhood…). Gimme a freakin’ break. Fiore is for Fiore and not the people of Middletown and I just thank God every day I don’t live in THAT township.

  9. Proud Republican said at 7:00 pm on January 2nd, 2012:

As I thought, you can’t refute the facts. Thanks for proving my point. As for Mr. Fiore’s resume, you are again taking the word of a pathological liar. The funny thing is, Mr. Fiore even provided the ordinance appointing him to the position you are questioning. You sound like a guy insisting the world is flat even after Columbus’s third voyage. And I don’t blame you for not wanting to live in this township – not many Democrats want to align themselves with the Middletown Dems. It is rather odd that you should be so frustrated at the successful leadership of the Republicans when you don’t even live here. One more thing – that money does not belong to the library – it belongs to the taxpayers. There is so much fat and waste in that library, I hope the township gets even more money back from them before they can whiz it away. You can’t go into that library without tripping over a staffer. I even read that they gave their employees a 6% raise!!!! The unions must love those big spenders.
