Doherty gets top job at Casino Reinvestment Development Authority

Belmar Mayor Matt Doherty has been promoted to the top position at the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, just two weeks after he secured the second in command position at the Atlantic City agency, according to a report at NewJerseyGlobe.

Doherty was appointed Deputy Executive Director of CRDA on March 5.  The CDRA board is set to appoint him Executive Director today, according to the report.  His salary is not yet known.  His predecessor was paid $175,000 per year—same as the governor.

Maybe Doherty will hire John Curley to be his Deputy.

The mayor has not yet announced if he will complete his term.  Belmar has a council meeting tonight.

Be ready to discourage him from “ double- dipping” his job and office. Get organized. Field a strong mayoral candidate: we need to start winning again at the Shore- it is getting ridiculous!
