Sen Vin Gopal, Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling and Assemblywoman Joann Downey
Senator Vin Gopal voted with his Trenton Democrat cronies last week in voting in favor of legislation that would keep candidates for President and Vice President off the ballot in New Jersey unless they disclose five years of tax returns . Gopal also voted against an amendment to the bill that would have it apply to himself and his fellow legislators and the governor.
Assembly Members Joann Downey and Eric Houghtaling voted in favor of identical legislation—and against the amendment to have the bill apply to themselves—in 2017.

NJ Dem Chairman John Currie, standing between Congressman Frank Pallone and state Senator Vin Gopal in 2014. That’s Dem Freeholder candidate Lawrence Luttrell, left of U.S. Senator Cory Booker
Congratulations to NJ Democratic Party Chairman John Currie on his new job as the Public Information Officer of the Passaic County Board of Social Services. And congratulations to the Board on finally finding the right man for the job after an exhaustive 14 year search.
Currie is the perfect man for the $92,000 part time job because, as the head of the Passaic County Democrats, the New Jersey Democrats, the Passaic Board of Elections and his partnership in a Chevrolet dealership, “he knows everybody,” BSS director Tony Desimone told The Record. Self-declared “master Democratic Party campaign strategist” James Devine of Rahway doubled down on his assertion that Democrats are “at war” with Republicans.
Devine told The Asbury Park Press that James Hodgkinson, the looney tune who gunned down Congressman Steve Scalise and three others yesterday before being shot dead by U.S. Capitol Police, was exercising his Second Amendment Rights to defend himself against duly elected tyrannical Republicans practicing baseball. In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, the state Assembly still had business to do before the two-year legislative session expired — including saying goodbye to all the departing lawmakers. Most of the time, it’s nice words followed by contrite thank-yous from the about-to-be-former legislators. Not so this time, when the object of praise was Assemblywoman… Read the rest of this entry »

50% of New Jersey voters think our State’s problems are solvable, but that our politicians are not willing to stick their necks out to get our State moving in the right direction. That’s the take away from the FDU Public Mind Poll released this morning which indicates that Governor Chris Christie approval rating is upside down, 30%-55% and that the State Legislature’s approval rating is negative 24%-44%.
28% of the 792 self identified registered voters survey by FDU from June 15-21 said that New Jersey is moving in the right direction. 57% said we are on the wrong track.
Poll results that this should indicate that change is coming in November. Don’t count on that happening, unless Christie shocks the world and announces that he is not running for president.
