Curley’s Unhinged Nutty Tantrum

Disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley was Censured and Reprimanded for, among other offenses, offering to teach a teenager “how to sweat a pipe.”

Kooky Curley calls for massive County spending increase

Disgraced Freeholder John P. Curley invoked Hubert Humphrey, Mark Twain, his father, brother, mother and God yesterday in a bizarre battle cry against his fellow freeholders and Monmouth County Republican Chairman Shaun Golden during the County’s annual Reorganization Meeting at Biotechnology High School in Freehold Township.

The audience clapped politely at the end of the rant while Curley glared at Golden who was sitting in the front row.

Missing from the audience was the small troop of supporters who showed up wearing I Stand With John Curley stickers at the Special Meeting last month when the absent Curley was Censured and Reprimanded for sexually harassing County employees and other atrocious behavior. Governor Brendan T. Byrne 1924-2018

Governor Chris Christie On The Passing Of Governor Brendan T. Byrne:

“It is with great sadness that I inform all New Jerseyans that Governor Brendan T. Byrne has died today. Governor Byrne was 93 years old.

Governor Byrne had an extraordinary career of public service.  He served as counsel to Governor Meyner, Deputy Attorney General, Essex County Prosecutor, Superior Court Judge and two-term Governor of New Jersey. He did each of those jobs with integrity, honesty, intelligence, wit and flair. He cared deeply for the state’s environment, led the charge for the development of the Meadowlands Complex and for the establishment of casino gaming in Atlantic City. Read the rest of this entry »

Op-Ed: Jersey Politicians, Can You Hear Us Now?

Joseph Caruso It seems appropriate now, in the wake of the new federal tax law that New Jersey remember the immortal words of Pogo, “We have met the enemy and he is us.” The sentiment is directed at all the state politicians who are crying over the “unfairness” of the new federal tax-reform measure that caps… Read the rest of this entry »

O’Scanlon to motorists: ‘Beware! The next attempt by corrupt camera company to steal from NJ drivers is underway’

By Senator-elect Declan O’Scanlon

Senator-elect Declan O’Scanlon

New Jersey motorists need to be warned that Redflex Traffic Systems Inc., one of the two now-infamous red light camera companies blessedly sent packing with the end of the failed pilot program in December, is trying to bring automated enforcement back to the state. This is company U.S. District Judge Virginia Kendall was referring to when she said this at the bribery sentencing of former Redflex CEO Karen Finely: ‘… But when we have a corporation that is in the community making millions of dollars on a product that abuses the people, there is no sense of corporate social responsibility there. … That impact cannot be underestimated.’ Nice.

This time they are hiding behind our children’s so-called ‘safety’ in the form of cameras on school buses. No one should be fooled. We proved red light cameras were a scam hiding behind false safety claims, and this bill is more of the same. Read the rest of this entry »
