Bill Robinson, the Democrat volunteer operative and sign guy who former congressional candidate Tiffany Kaszuba accused of “concerning” and “unhealthy” behavior has resigned from the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, according to one of the Monmouth County Democrats who is allowed to talk to MMM.

Monmouth Democrat Chairman Dave Brown (not allowed to talk to MMM) called for Robinson’s resignation from the State Committee and banned him from Party activities after he and Senator Vin Gopal (allowed to talk to whoever he wants) were widely criticized on how they initially handled Kaszuba’s concerns.

Monmouth County Democrat Chairman Dave Brown issued an apology this morning for the way he handled the concerns of Tiffany Kaszuba, a lobbyist who ended her candidacy for Congress in CD4 on Tuesday with explosive allegations against Bill Robinson, the former Chairman of the Eatontown Democrats and former member of the Monmouth Democrats Executive Committee.

Kazuba issued the following statement announcing her withdrawal:

Monmouth Democrat Chairman Brown Shouldn’t Survive This Cop Hating Hypocrisy

By Tommy DeSeno

Monmouth Democrat Chairman David Brown

The job of a county party chair is to ensure that candidates have no unforced errors, usually handled in the vetting process.  Democrat Chairman David Brown’s candidates this year have self-inflicted wounds.  He has dumped support for several of his own candidates, a sign of his own failure.  The Monmouth Democrat Party needs to strip him of his chairmanship for this collapse.

By the way – the correct pronunciation for “The Monmouth Democrat Party” is “Vin Gopal.” That’s who needs to dump Brown.

Let’s look at how David Brown treated two women very differently for their words about cops.

Jeana Sager is a Democrat candidate for the Township Council in Middletown.  I’m not here to articulate her true feelings about cops because I don’t know them. I don’t know them because David Brown sewed her mouth shut like a character on “A Handmaid’s Tale” before she could explain.

Monmouth Democrats Have Another Radical Candidate

Democrat Freeholder candidate Moira Nelson

Last week when we exposed Jeana Sager’s radical views about police officers and narcotics, Monmouth County Democrat Chairman Dave Brown issued the following statement condeming his candidate for Middletown Township Committee (while crediting NewJerseyGlobe with our work).

Will Vin Gopal Withdraw His Support Of Larry Luttrell For Freeholder?

State Senator Vin Gopal last week withdrew his support for Teddy Price, 58, a Democrat candidate for Ocean County Freeholder, ostensibly because of Price’s arrest record for alcohol fueled youthful indiscretions 37 years ago.

In a conveniently leaked letter to Ocean County Democrat Chairman Wyatt Earp, Senator Gopal  asked that the $10,000 donation he made to the Ocean Dem coffers not be used for Price’s freeholder campaign because Price was arrested twice in 1981.  The way Gopal tells the story, the charges against Price were pretty serious. “Mr. Price’s criminal history is deeply disturbing,” Gopal wrote. Assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, interfering with and fighting with police were the charges Gopal mentioned in his letter to Earp.

Welle Assuming Victory Over Keady In CD-4 Dem Primary, Schedules Event For Night of Dem Convention

Josh Welle, address none of your business, seems to think he has the Democrat nomination in the 4th Congressional District locked up before any of the votes have been counted.

The primary election between Welle and former Asbury Park councilman Jim Keady is tomorrow, June 5.

The Welle campaign has a meet and greet scheduled for Tuesday evening, June 12 in Ocean Grove.

Someone should tell Welle that the Monmouth County Democrats are having a convention that night.

Actually, someone should tell the Monmouth County Democrats that they need to have a convention that night.  I guess I just did. Read the rest of this entry »

NJ Dem Chair Gets Pension Boosting Job

NJ Dem Chairman John Currie, standing between Congressman Frank Pallone and state Senator Vin Gopal in 2014. That’s Dem Freeholder candidate Lawrence Luttrell, left of U.S. Senator Cory Booker

Congratulations to NJ Democratic Party Chairman John Currie on his new job as the Public Information Officer of the Passaic County Board of Social Services.  And congratulations to the Board on finally finding the right man for the job after an exhaustive 14 year search.

Currie is the perfect man for the $92,000 part time job because, as the head of the Passaic County Democrats, the New Jersey Democrats, the Passaic Board of Elections and his partnership in a Chevrolet dealership, “he knows everybody,” BSS director Tony Desimone told The Record. Welle Files His Financial Disclosure Report

Congressional Candidate’s Disclosure Raises More Questions

Congressional Candidate Josh Welle

Josh Welle, address unknown, the Democrat endorsed by the Monmouth and Ocean Democrats to run against Congressman Chris Smith in the 4th Congressional District, filed his Financial Disclosure Report with the Clerk of the House of Representatives on Sunday, March 11.  MMM reported on Saturday March 10 that Welle was over four months late in filing the report, a violation of the Ethics in Government Act that could result in a fine up to $58,000.

Welle has not explained why he did not file the report as required in October of 2017.  Nor is it clear that the report filed on Sunday brings him into compliance.   Welle reached the $5000 fund raising threshold that triggered the requirement of the report within thirty days on September 29, 2017. He was then required to disclose his assets and sources of income of more than $5,000 for 2016 and 2017 within thirty days.  The report filed yesterday indicated that it is for the year 2017 but also indicates that it covers the period of January 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018.  The disclosures of income and assets seem to be for 2017 and YTD 2018. Monmouth Democrats Back Menendez For Reelection

Monmouth Democrat Chairman Dave Brown

Monmouth County Democrat Chairman David Brown responded to the news that indicted U.S. Senator Bob Menendez will face a second trial on federal corruption charges by endorsing the senator for reelection in November, according to a report at PoliticsDW.

“Whether it is fighting for progressive values or standing up to Donald Trump’s disastrous and economic and environmental policies, Senator Bob Menendez has had our side,” said David Brown, the Monmouth County Democratic Chairman.
