must have been a police shooting because they are the only people allowed to carry firearms.

and since freehold is full of nothing but legal US citizens, i’m sure the public will be very helpful in finding the source of the flying lead.

in Freehold, Asbury, and other urban centers of this county are becoming more prevalent, frequent, and serious: am getting worried that our law enforcement agencies may be overworked, outnumbered, and under- funded, when it comes to fighting what appears to be more gang and drug- related crimes: this is a serious quality of life issue for both residents and our tourism industry. Would support more help for those who protect and serve and try to stop this scourge on our way of life.

bupkis. local departments in suburban nj have plenty of staff, they are just more likely to be hiding their patrol cars in the bushes waiting to write middle class working people a speeding ticket instead of tracking down criminals. There is a drug epidemic in our schools and the police ignore the problem because their salaries are paid from traffic tickets. if not running radar, they are “working” road construction, by working i mean sitting in their cars talking on their cell phones. and if not one of those places then they are being backup to each other, ie park ranger calls the police in because someone has their dog off of the leash at “the dog beach” and four officers show up to harass and threaten. like everything else in government, the police and local muni court system is broken and needs a major overhaul. more people in that broken system is not even a remotely viable solution to any real or perceived problem. any taxpaying member of the public who belives otherwise has been fooled by their carny games.

If ticket revenues were to pay police salaries many more tickets would be written than are currently written.

Those construction jobs are paid by the company requiring the officer there which is usually mandated by that companies insurance company
