Jack Ciattarelli, the presumptive Republican nominee for governor of New Jersey, today demanded that Governor Phil Murphy release his communications with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo regarding their policies forcing COVID-19 positive patients into nursing homes and blasted Murphy for his silence regarding the accusations of sexual harassment lodged against Cuomo.

Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso

Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso announced this morning that she is seeking a third term representing the 13th Legislative District in the lower house of the New Jersey Legislature.

DiMaso touts a record of accomplishment, leadership and fiscal conservatism in her announcement. “Her record is witness to a public servant who takes action to serve the people of the district,” her campaign’s announcement declared.”

Victoria A Flynn, President of the Holmdel Board of Education, announced yesterday that she is seeking the Republican nomination for the LD 13 Assembly seat currently held by two term Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso.

DiMaso, also of Holmdel, has not yet announced if she is seeking reelection, running for another office or not running for office in 2021.

Rosemarie Peters will not seek reelection as Monmouth County Surrogate

Monmouth County Surrogate Rosemarie Peters has informed Republican Party leaders that she will not stand for reelection this year.

Peters, 78, was elected in 2006 after serving on the Middletown Township Committee for 18 years. She was reelected by wide margins in 2011 and 2016.

After over 40 years observing, studying and serving on the political stage I am disturbed by what I see going on in politics today. Back in 1980 when first elected in South Belmar (now Lake Como) I can’t remember the intrusion of politicians (Federal, State or County) in our day to day lives like I see today.

What bothers me most about today seems to be a lack of understanding from citizens of how politics really work.  Real politics, not fantasy promises.
