
Investors Bank, Navesink Branch
Martin N. Racioppi, 52, of Monmouth Beach, has been charged with the July 20th robbery of the Investors Bank branch in Navesink, according to Acting U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick.
Racioppi was released from federal prison on March 26, 2014 for his 2007 conviction in the robbery of a Red Bank Sovereign Bank branch, according the the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was on parole for a previous bank robbery conviction at the time of the Red Bank robbery, according to RedBankGreen.

Governor Chris Christie on Friday signed a bill sponsored by Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon that brings New Jersey’s Emergency Medical Services into the 21st century by requiring the use of technology for data collection by first responders to deliver the best emergency medical care possible.
“For too long, the emergency medical services system in New Jersey has existed without an overarching mandate to collect the kind of information that is needed in today’s rapidly evolving health care and emergency environments. A memorial service to honor the life of U.S. Marine Crewmaster Daniel Baldassare will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at Colts Neck High School. The service will start at 11 a.m. The Baldassare family has invited all to attend.
Volunteers are requested on Monday, July 24 at 6 p.m. to bring American flags to line the football field. On Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., volunteers are asked to bring a flag a form a line of honor from 5 Points Road to the football field for the Baldassare family’s entrance to the funeral.
Daniel, 20, was one of the 16 U.S. servicemen killed on July 10 when a KC-130 refueling plane crashed in a Mississippi cornfield. 15 U.S Marines and a Navy sailor perished in the accident.

Atlantic Highlands Councilman Jack Archibald has withdrawn his candidacy for reelection.
Archibald submitted a letter to the County Committee which was read at a meeting of the borough’s Republican county committee on Monday. In his letter, the councilman stressed he is completing his term which runs out Jan. 1, 2018, and will continue serving the borough. However, citing personal reasons and commitments, he said he will not seek another term.
The councilman has been on the governing body for the past 25 years, serving on every committee at some time during his tenure. He has received commendations for work he has done and projects he has instituted or pursued while serving on Harbor, Police, Finance, Public Works , Recreation and Water and Sewer.

Dr. Saad A. Saad, 71 of Red Bank, was charged with second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and fourth degree Criminal Sexual Contact by a Monmouth County Grand Jury last week over an incident that occurred while he was examining a 17 year old female patient at Meridian Pediatric Associates in Eatontown on May 1, 2017.
Saad is the Pediatric Surgeon-in-Chief at the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, according to his practice’s website. He is an attending at five hospitals in Monmouth and Ocean Counties and is an assistant professor of surgery at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

The tragic death of 11 year old Abbiegal “Abbie” Smith last week, allegedly at the hands of her 18 year old Keansburg neighbor, Andreas Erazo, has resulted in an outpouring of generous support for Abbie’s family.
A total of $26,055, plus meal donations, has been raised by three social media campaigns since Friday, July 14, the day after Abbie’s remains were found near her home and Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni announced that her death was being investigated as a homicide.
