Angelini Concedes LD 11 Loss

Angelini

Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini

Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini released the following statement after the certification of the November 3rd elections:

“The voters of the 11th District have spoken and I respect the choices that they have made. I congratulate Joann Downey and Eric Houghtaling and wish them nothing but the best.

Serving in the Legislature for the past eight years has been an incredible experience that I will always cherish.

I am proud of my legislative accomplishments and especially, my efforts to shine a light on the issues affecting the more vulnerable segments of our society, including young people and individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental illness.

I am forever grateful for the many wonderful friends, colleagues and supporters who helped make my time in the Assembly such a tremendous experience. I thank the residents of the 11th District for giving me the opportunity to serve and I look forward to what the next chapter of my life will bring.”

  1. The sweep will continue with Beck said at 4:48 pm on December 2nd, 2015:

Her record says it all. Never voted to override the governor on such important bills as the Port Authority Transparency and Accountability Act. The biggest bill to come out after the sordid Bridgegate revelations. Four houses in two states voted for this–unanimously! Then when Christie vetoed it, good old Beck refused to vote for an override.

Second big vote for Jen was the failure to override the bill permitting law enforcement to properly vet mentally challenged citizens who recently had their psychological records expunged and applied for a gun permit.

Beck’s record will kill her in two years!

  2. never voted for a tax DECREASE said at 9:37 pm on December 2nd, 2015:

Beat it lady. One of the many “Republicans” who run under the bs line of “never voted for a tax increase” yet our taxes go up and up year after year with no sign of the pillaging ever slowing and Mary Pat was always just go along to get along as long as her failure of a charity, that has preventing nothing while a heroin epidemic kills the youth, got its money. Sadly, until Republicans take bold action to actually vote for tangible tax decreases that the people can see and feel in their bank accounts, they’ll continue to lose offices. Take note Freeholders, urban sprawl you are allowing is destroying “the county that Republicans built” and changing thedemographics at the same time. Want to maintain your seats? Stop the rampant development, cut bs services/costs, and vote to decrease taxes by a meaningful and substantial amount. Doing nothing but boasting Republicans built this mess is hurting the party.
