An Open Letter to Democrats in New Jersey

Dear Democrats,

We want you. That’s right; we in the Monmouth, Ocean & Middlesex County GOP organizations want you to vote for our candidates on Tuesday November 3rd. The reason? Your own self interest.

Half of you want to leave New Jersey at some point, according to a poll conducted by Monmouth University and the Asbury Park Press. New Jersey actually leads the nation in families fleeing their home state to more affordable places like Florida and North Carolina. For every family that moves to the Garden State two families pick up and leave.

Elections have consequences. It’s no longer my team versus your team, families in New Jersey are hurting. For the last 15 to 20 years Democrats have ruled the State Senate and the State Assembly; with the exception of the Republican Governors we’ve had, we’ve had no reprieve from higher taxes and higher spending. It’s taken a toll on all our families.

As a result, we have the 5th highest cost of living in the nation. You feel the pinch on a daily basis. On your commute to work you pay 20% of all tolls collected in the nation. We also pay more to pave a road than any place in the country. The only other thing that Jersey is ranked number one at is paying the most property taxes.

On Tuesday November 3rd you have a genuine opportunity to change the direction of our state. Perhaps our children will inherit a New Jersey just as beautiful as but more affordable than the burdensome New Jersey that we have come to suffer under. Assemblywomen Mary Pat Angelini and Caroline Casagrande have voted against every tax increase proposed by Trenton politicians. Assemblywoman Casagrande even worked with JCP&L to stabilize energy rates for seniors and Monmouth County residents alike. That’s the kind of leadership that we need more of.

Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini has been a model public servant. She has made it her personal mission to take on the heroin epidemic, which has taken so many lives in Ocean and Monmouth Counties. She is a known advocate for mental health issues and has been a faithful supporter of many mental health organizations in our community. She has even supported my mother’s orphanage in the Philippines – Street Kids Philippine Missions, which rescues children from poverty and gives them the opportunity to grow into self-sufficient adults.

Your other option is to vote for more of the same. Believe me, Democrats in both D.C. and Trenton are heavily invested in more of the same and want to prevent our candidates from tipping the apple cart known as taxes and spending.

In fact the former Chief of Staff for Senator Harry Reid, Susan McCue and her PR marketing firm have spent 4 million dollars slandering our reform efforts. The personal and false attacks against Assemblywomen Mary Pat Angelini, Caroline Casagrande; Freeholder John Curley and Monmouth County Clerk Christine Hanlon are funded by Washington elites that have no concern for the high cost of living that we experience.

Time is money. The more you pay in taxes the less time you have to spend with your family. Imagine if life were just a little easier financially. Don’t imagine, do something about it. Join us. Don’t fall for another so called War on Women or Republicans are For The Rich marketing con. These are timeless attacks geared toward getting you to take your eye off the issues that really affect how you live. We are a party, by in large, run by women; and by minorities like me. We want nothing more than for you to join us in taking on the issues that make such an impact on our families and our way of life. On Tuesday November 3rd, vote Republican then come to one of our local meetings and be heard. Don’t let your legacy of Jersey by defined by the trail of brake lights on their way to the Florida.

    Do we not have a higher cost of living because we choose to live near New York City? NJ has northeast corridor roads, meaning many people who do not live here pay the tolls, besides regular commuters. If we pay more to pave a road it’s because we are all paying for the privilege of living in this very desirable location. Property taxes are high because next to Massachusetts we have some of the best public schools in the country. If you don’t like the public schools, go try Louisiana or some of the other states that leave their schools systems with scarce resources.

    I’d rather die than move to Florida or North Carolina. Every thing I want and need is within a few minutes or hours of my house and I’m happy to pay for it.

    They are just wired differently: most of them live in the Nirvana world of the liberal mindset: the “way we want things to be.” They have no correlation to the good they want to be done, and the amount it really costs the working few- they are also much more understanding of and make excuses for continual bad behaviors and irresponsibility: one may think it’ll all be ok, peace and love and all, and there will always be enough in the golden pot in the sky,of other peoples’ money to cover everyone else: and, they will never “get it,” until it is finally they who get hurt.. It’s like an incurable virus: they vote for the cool, fun, generous, other-folks’ stuff to give away, then they destroy where they are, then evacuate to a “Red,” better- run place, then vote the same way again, ( hence, Monmouth R’s are now out- numbered by D’s for several years now,) and, then wreck another place: California, Virginia, Colorado,are a few cases in point.. Texas and Georgia are another two they will conquer next, soon as they get the majorities, with the felons and illegals voting: it’s only a matter of time..so,I, and many others,have little hope left- but, certainly do appreciate your efforts!!

    is their practice for next year: if they happen to get a toe-hold anywhere they don’t already have one, they will be encouraged to find and pump more in: they can’t win on ideas and how to run things, so they’ll lie and trash and do anything to get in: with the dreaded Hillary leading the way: we really gotta shape up, get it together, and be ready for a rough ’16.
