All of those Bader signs, dozens bunched together in rows; did nothing for visibility.

I have to admit though, I have to hand it to the Narcissistic Rullo, who beat Bader with NO signs. I guess Rullo’s ego was voting in a lot of towns.

But, I would like to know why Rullo didn’t “sweep Ocean County” as promised.

Who the heck is David Brown? Never heard of him before last night. Kudo’s to him for beating Rullo & Bader.

Wow. And we wonder why this state is so screwed up. Kyrillos’ opponents lacked name recognition and were underfunded, but it’s still very disturbing to see such a deeply flawed candidate garner so much of the vote. This man has proven to be no friend of conservatives and libertarians, so there is no reason why we should support him when he has repeatedly turned his back on us. From refusing to give proper support to Bret Schundler back when he was NJ GOP Chairman and essentially sticking us with Gov. Jim McGreevey, to supporting liberal Chris Christie over conservative Steve Lonegan in ’09 in what turned out to be a very close race, to campaigning for flip-flopping RINO Mitt Romney (the most liberal candidate running) in ’08 and ’12, Kyrillos has a long history of blocking the reform of Trenton and preventing us from reining in the excesses of government. He might just be the worst candidate that the GOP establishment has foisted on us yet. 30 years of hand-picking left-of-center Republicans to oppose the incumbent Democrats and losing every single time … when will the boneheads who run the party get the message that uninspiring RINOs don’t win?

  3. Tom Stokes said at 1:03 pm on June 6th, 2012:

Congratulations to Senator Joe Kyrillos on winning despite the wannabe fantasies of a few misguided souls.

Joe is a true compassionate, credible, common sense, conservative who has been able to achieve major structural reforms relative to needed public employee benefits reforms. Working with governor Christie, this team effort has been successful despite the Legislature’s being controlled by the democrat opposition.

No, Joe is not an in your face type of guy and is not the kind to throw firebombs at his opponents. He is indeed what is required right now in Washington to actually accomplish the reforms so desperately needed to right our ship of state and its sinking economy.

This great country can no longer afford the nihilism and nonsense of the narcissistic nabobs who want total annihilation of the opposition at any cost – and this goes for both the extreme far left and far right of the political environment.

This country must be brought together, we have all got to roll up our sleeves to restore our economy, our jobs and our future. Our children, our grandchildren depend upon this.

Electing Joe Kyrillos to the US Senate would be a great start!

Tom Stokes – I couldn’t have stated it better. Nice going.

I second Tom Stokes comment and I am proud to have supported Joe Kyrillos in the primary and I am looking forward to working hard to get him elected to the US Senate in November and to finally send Menendez back to Hudson County!

I just want to comment, however that I am surprised that Bader Qarmout came in last! I thought he was going to come in second because out of all of the other candidates (Brown/Rullo/Qarmout), I he was the only one who I saw who did any actual campaigning!

  6. Liberty NJ said at 4:33 pm on June 6th, 2012:

If Joe Kyrillos is such a great conservative, why did he refuse to support Bret Schundler when he received the party’s nomination as gubernatorial candidate back in 2001? I believe very strongly that Kyrillos’ (NJ GOP Chairman at the time) decision to take his ball and go home when his candidate Bob Franks lost was a major reason why we got stuck with terrible liberal Governor Jim McGreevey.

Among other things, Kyrillos is pro-abortion, anti-gun, endorsed Chris Christie over Steve Lonegan for Governor (Christie’s policies have turned out to be not conservative, but Corzine-lite), and endorsed Obamacare inventor Mitt Romney over all the other more conservative candidates for President.

This is not the track record of anyone who could be remotely considered “conservative”. This is the work of a RINO. We needed a candidate in the vein of Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and Jim DeMint not someone who is going to undermine conservative change along with Scott Brown, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins.

30 years of pathetic liberal Republican candidates for U.S. Senate, 30 years of Democrats remaing in control of these seats. When is the NJ GOP establishment going to get the message? No more RINOs!

You and your anti-GOP is what will keep the Democrats in Office. Start knocking the Liberals and extreme Left. Your RINO beliefs are off base. The voters have spoken, get over it. Lonegan lost! Move on, start bashing Obama and the Democrats, not Conservatives ,whether moderate in some beliefs or not.

It’s not only about you and your beliefs! Learn to get along.

I’ll take a moderate Conservative beiefs over any liberal big spending Democrat in a heart beat. Now Snap out of it!
No more anti-GOP, you are just giving the Democrats what they want. Or are you really a closet Democrat? You surely portray yourself as one when constantly attacking Republicans. What purpose do you actually think you serve?

  9. Conservative Republican For Kyrillos said at 6:20 pm on June 6th, 2012:

I am a conservative Republican who supports the Tea Party! I supported Kyrillos in the primary and will continue to work hard for him until November! While he may not be the perfect conservative, he is who the Republicans nominated and we now need to focus on Menendez! Let’s stop the in-fighting within the Republican party and let’s get united behind Kyrillos in order to defeat Menendez! The support of the GOP combined with grassroots GOP/conservative/tea party support will result in an unstoppable force that will send Bob Menendez back to Hudson County! Let’s now focus on defeating Democrats, not on who is the most ideologically pure!! I’d take a moderate conservative over a PROGRESSIVE any day!

  10. To Conservative Republican For Kyrillos said at 7:49 pm on June 6th, 2012:

    I APPLAUD your honesty.

The only problem is, and I hate to say “she started it,” but you can help greatly by getting Barbara Gonzalez and the Bay Shore Tea Party thinking that way.

It’s up to each and every one of YOU! Put the egos aside, for the sake of our children’s future, your future and the Nation’s future as a whole.

We not only can do this we WILL , but each and everyone of us need each other to accomplish defeating them! Whether some want to admit it or not, there’s force in numbers…put differences aside, focus on the big picture! Send them packin’

@To Conservative Republican for Kyrillos – Thank you for your kind comment!!

The same rule I wrote about above should apply to Mitt Romney and Anna Little as well! We need to send Obama back to Chicago, Menendez back to Hudson County and Pallone back to Long Branch, and replace them with Romney, Kyrillos and Little!!! We need to unite, GOP/conservatives/tea party to WIN in November!!!!!!

  13. Liberty NJ said at 9:28 pm on June 6th, 2012:

“To Liberty NJ”: Why should I “learn to get along” when the GOP candidate for U.S. Senate isn’t capable of doing it himself? You see, when then-NJ GOP Chairman Joe Kyrillos didn’t get his way and his preferred candidate lost to Bret Schundler in the 2001 gubernatorial primary, he chose not to support him and essentially took his ball and went home. Probably all because Schundler didn’t share his anti-gun, pro-abortion, fee-hiking / big spending beliefs, I suppose. But whatever the case may have been, I blame Kyrillos and his lack of support for the reason why this state got stuck with 8 years of terrible Democratic leadership and went further down the road of high taxes, increased debt, and more anti-business laws and regulations.

  14. @Liberty NJ said at 10:07 pm on June 6th, 2012:

Get over it, and get over your ego, stop carrying a grudge. I could be angry at Steve Lonegan forever, getting in the way of Schundler 4 years later because I worked my tail off for Bret then. I am not

C’est la vie. Life goes on and you need to get with the program and stop being stuck on stupid. This is our LAST chance to stop the destruction of America by the far left.

Don’t give me that crap about Kyrillos, ect being just as bad as a Democrat. There is NO comparison. Am I thrilled with Romney and Joe, or Anna who can never keep campaign managers and settle down to what she needs to do?

    NO!

But Romney & Kyrillos are certainly better than the alternatives until better, more conservative candidates come along in N.J. that can win, actually until the REST of N.J.’s voters wake up and understand what we need.

As to Anna, she’s not going to win in the fall. First, the cards are stacked against her and this primary win will all go to her head and she will lose the discipline that she needs, becoming a loose cannon again.

Anna benefited from a LOUSY Cullari campaign. And, I am aware of many people who have tried to get her to become disciplined enough on a steady basis to win. She won’t.

As well, this BSTP, led by Barbara does not have the skill to take it to the next level, not saying they have NO skill, but they don’t know what they need to do to bring it home.

Incremental steps are better than the Demolition Derby Obama and his ilk are playing..

  15. LibertyNJ move on said at 10:30 pm on June 6th, 2012:

Carrying a grudge since 2001 is not healthy, and not being able to let go is not a good sign, your resentment blinds you. 11 years of resentment breeds too much negativity, it destroys you. Only you can lift the cloud you place upon yourself. Note: 1 person does not make or break an election, unless it’s a tie. I, like many, continue to believe in KYRILLOS , and will continue to support him.
I hope you can let go of the past and focus on the future, for your own sake, happiness and contentment . Life is too short

  16. Don't Count Little Out said at 12:09 am on June 7th, 2012:

@@Liberty NJ – I would not count Little out – it is going to be an uphill battle but I think she can pull it off. She learned a lot from 2010 and her campaign is going to be much more organized this time around. She has name recognition in the district from 2010! Look at how she reduced Pallone’s numbers from 2008-2010, for a first-time candidate that is excellent when you are going against a 22 year incumbent (now 24 year). GO ANNA!!!!

  17. rullo showing his true colors said at 7:23 am on June 7th, 2012:

Looks like Rullo did a 180 24 hours after the primary. After making a big scene for months how hes not part of the establishment, he posts on his facebook page yesterday how he will “deliver victory in Ocean County for the GOP as we do every year for the Republicans”. Looks like he ran back to “Uncle George” (Gilmore) again with a tail between his legs.

  18. @Don't Count Little Out said at 8:54 am on June 7th, 2012:

    a) You forget that most of Anna’s Army is scattered.

    b) You forget that Obama is on the top of the ticket this year and will draw more Democrats out. Since Pallone’s district is now slightly MORE Democrat in 2012 than it was in 2010 with Woodbridge & Perth Amboy replacing Plainfield….

Right now, Obama is some 14 points ahead of Romney. Baring a complete collapse of Obama and Romney winning N.J., there is too much of a coat tail effect in a solid Democrat district for Anna to win

Hell, even Joe Kyrillos is going to have a tough time beating those numbers.

    4) Pallone has at least $4 MILLION in his war chest campaign account.

Anna can not raise that kind of money. Heck, she can’t even get her campaign finance paperwork on order.

It’s a pipe dream to believe that Anna can win this year.

Besides, people far smarter than us are calling the CD solid Pallone

  19. Bob English said at 12:44 pm on June 7th, 2012:

The only way the R’s will ever have a remotely competitive race against Rep. Pallone is by getting one of their more popolular elected office-holders at the local, county or state level to run in a non Presidential election year……even that does not guarantee a win but gets you within maybe 5-6 points. Nothing against Ernesto but most voters never heard of him which left you with Mrs. Little who has no chance of winning.
