81 year old woman killed in Middletown car accident

A 81 year old woman was struck by a motor vehicle while she was walking on Bamm Hollow Road near Pelican Road on Wednesday evening.  She died as a result of her injuries, according to a statement by Detective Lt. Paul Bailey of the Middletown Township Police Department.

The driver of the vehicle, a 35 year old Middletown man, remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation.  The identity of the victim and the driver have not been released.  There have been no summons issued at this time.
